I want to start off by asking you a question…
Does it ever feel like you are working harder than ever, but it seems like you’re just spinning your wheels and you can’t get any traction?
It’s one inch forward and then one inch back…over and over and over again.
You’re beginning to wonder if maybe success just isn’t possible for you…After all, you know SOME people are able to scale up to multiple six or even seven figures. So, why not you? What is it about YOU that is preventing you from scaling your business with success?
Well, for starters – IT’S NOT YOU that’s standing in the way of your success, it’s your strategy.
The strategy you are currently using worked JUST FINE to get you to where you are now, but it’s not designed to get you where you want to go. Simply put, your current strategy is NOT scalable – and you’ve got proof…working 24/7, stressed to the max, but your revenue won’t budge.
Meet The Scale Method: Built For Course Creators.
Our proven methodology has helped course creators just like you stop spinning and start scaling.
The Scale Method isn’t easy, instant, or free – but it works.
The only place to access our step by step method is inside my signature program, Scale with Success® and I recognize that some of you listening right now are already a member of this program while others of you are possibly on the fence.
You’re ready to scale your business to multiple six or even seven figures, but you aren’t sure what makes OUR process different. What is it about our program that we’re able to help online course creators have lasting results?
One of the key differentiators of our program Scale with Success® is that we cover all five pillars required for a successful online course business.
Let’s dig into these five pillars today and I’ll walk you through some of the common challenges our clients experience with each pillar when they first begin working with us.
At Scale with Success®, we believe that on the other side of every challenge is a big opportunity for growth. Instead of avoiding challenges and running away from them, we give our clients the tools they need to confidently meet each challenge head on so they can move forward.
We believe that as your revenue increases, things don’t get easier, but you get stronger.
So, as you’re listening today, I want you to think about what challenges you are currently experiencing and where your biggest opportunities are for success.
Pillar One: Product
Big Challenge: People tell you that your program sounds great, but now isn’t the “right time” for them to buy – either because they believe they’re too busy to make this a priority or financially they aren’t ready to invest. Now, you will always have a portion of your audience who genuinely can’t afford to invest time or money into your program – but, I’m not talking about those people today. I’m talking about the people who DO have the time and the funds, but for whatever reason – they don’t feel compelled to sign up. I’m talking about people who are really struggling with a specific problem that your online course can help them solve – but, they just don’t see it.
I know you got into this business because you wanted to help people, but you’re not able to help people the way they need to be helped UNLESS they enroll into your online course.
So, how do you fix that? How do you overcome that challenge and turn it into a major opportunity?
First, let’s talk about what NOT to do…
X Do not lower your price so more people will buy
X Do not begin adding a bunch of “stuff” to it in the form of extra lessons, extra calls, extra everything
X Do not fool yourself into thinking that your audience doesn’t have any money or that you need to pick an entirely different niche or even course topic!!
Starting from scratch is never the answer.
Here is your Big Opportunity: Clarify your offer. Create a specific, irresistible offer that will overcome objections and sell on auto-pilot
→ You can streamline existing content to align with clear promise of course
→ You can uncover the real reason people aren’t buying
→ And you can overcome objections inside the offer itself
Pillar 2: Marketing
Big Challenge: You love the idea of having a signature online course that you can really go all in with, but you’ve already sold it to your existing audience. You are looking to really grow the size of your audience, but all your “go to” strategies don’t seem to be providing the exponential growth that you’re looking for. Those strategies worked great to grow your audience to where it is today – but, it feels like lately your growth has been S-L-O-W.
Can you relate?
Here’s what NOT to do…
X Do not create a new course. So many course creators get stuck in a cycle where the only way they can make more money is to launch a new course. Their audience isn’t growing, so they just keep selling new things to their existing audience. Until they solve their lead generation problem, they will not make it to the next level of revenue that they desire. Launching a new course is nothing but a band-aid solution and continuing to launch product after product will only lead to burnout.
X Do not start looking for the next “silver bullet” social media tactic. Your lead generation problem is not going to be solved with a new hashtag strategy.
X Do not start joining a bunch of new platforms and launching a podcast, YouTube show, TikTok account and host Clubhouse summit. Again…not sustainable.
X Do not start ads before you’re ready. Ads are great, but there is a right time to use them and if you are using them too soon, it’s not going to help.
Here’s your Big Opportunity: Create a Lead Generation System –
→ Implement process for keeping content fresh on a limited number of platforms
→ Invest your resources into long term, sustainable system that will improve your lead generation without burnout
→ Master and automate one platform before moving onto the next
→ Learn how to create social media content that generates revenue first and then amplify that later with paid advertising; Our system uses organic and paid traffic strategies that build upon each other…and we do not recommend doing everything at once. We help you determine a pace that is right for you when it comes to transitioning from organic to paid traffic.
Pillar 3: Sales
Big Challenge: Lately, it seems like the only people who invest in your programs are those who have been in your audience forever and you can’t imagine the idea that someone who is brand new to you is ready to buy. Maybe you’ve tried dipping your toes in the “cold traffic” water and your conversion rates have plumetted – leaving you feeling hopeless about your ability to scale.
Here’s what not to do:
X Stop relying exclusively on live launching methods to sell your course. If you love live launching, then by all means continue, but if you are looking for a more predictable way to scale your business – you need to figure out a way to automate your sales process without launching all the time.
X Stop trying to force people to buy before they’re ready. A profitable, automated sales process that enrolls people into your course 24/7 will not work if you don’t understand and respect the readiness of your audience. The ability to warm up people quickly relies on the quality of your content, not your ability to shame or bully people into buying.
X Stop telling yourself that your audience needs months of warm-up before they’re ready to buy. You need an automated sales process that ensures that the right people are seeing your offer at the right time for them.
X Stop attempting to build a super complex conversion mechanism with upsells, downsells, cross-sells. Simple scales. Complicated does not.
Here’s your Big Opportunity: Build A Highly-Effective Automated Sales Process
→ Create an automated sales process so your business is always making money
→ Utilize behavior based automations so that people are presented with the opportunity to buy when they’re ready
→ Prioritize connection throughout the entire sales process so your audience makes an informed decision they can feel good about
→ Build a simple, highly effective, sales process that works predictably again and again to turn prospects into customers
Pillar 4: Client Success
Big Challenge: You don’t have the right Student Success system in place for rolling enrollment, so you are overcompensating by working round the clock.
Here’s what not to do:
X Do not add complexity by adopting a cohort model and making people wait to start your program at the beginning of each month, all at the same time.
X Do not spend all your time answering the same questions over and over again inside your student community.
X Do not create an environment where people only want to connect with YOU and fail to connect with each other. If you create a community where the expectation is that you will be personally answering everyone’s questions one by one inside the community – you will not be able to keep up as you grow.
X Do not spread yourself too thin because you feel like people need more time with you to be happy. It’s not sustainable. There is a better way.
Here’s your Big Opportunity: Optimize Student Experience for Ongoing Enrollment
→ Implement a system that is able to give a stellar onboarding experience for every student whether they join on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Sunday
→ Implement strategies that prioritize group learning so that your students can increase the quality of their results without you being available for on-one-one coaching inside the student community
→ Create a community that runs and thrives without you.
→ Learn how to optimize the student experience to reduce risk refunds and failed payments as you scale
Pillar 5: Ops/Finance
Big Challenge: You have a big team of overpaid contractors that you hired to put out specific fires because you have no time…only now you are leaking profits and you can’t imagine having time to hire people that you really need. You have a team, so why does it still feel like you don’t have time to catch your breath? Isn’t a team supposed to make your life easier?
Here’s what not to do:
X Don’t build a team faster than you know how to manage one or you will always feel like you are cleaning up after someone’s mess. You can have the best team in the world, but if you don’t know how to manage people and create a culture of personal responsibility – then you’ll be working harder WITH a team than you will WITHOUT a team.
X Don’t hire in the wrong order. I know the temptation is to throw money at a problem and hope it goes away, but that temporary strategy will only lead to temporary results.
X Don’t settle for overpaid, underqualified contractors because you’re desperate and then feel like you can’t let them go because now your business “needs” them to operate. If your entire business hinges on the performance of one person – you’re in big trouble.
X Don’t get stuck in the weeds by tracking the wrong metrics. Your business relies on you to see the big picture and to correctly identify which metrics you need to track.
So here’s your Big Opportunity: Build and Lead a Lean, Profitable Team
→ Implement systems that create a company culture of personal responsibility
→ Use a proven process to determine what next hire will have the best chance of increasing your profitability
→ Build a company structure that isn’t overly reliant on any “one” role, so you are not at the mercy of ever-increasing invoices→ Track the right metrics so you have a better pulse on true health of your company and the performance of your team so you can identify problems and solve them before it’s too late
