3 Proven Tactics to Rapidly Boost Revenue in Your Online Course Business
So, this year has been speeding by, and maybe you’re not exactly on track to meet your revenue goal by the end of the year, or maybe things are off to a good start, but you’re starting to get a little antsy as to whether or not you’ll be able to keep pace in the coming months.
If only there was a strategy that you could start implementing now to pick up some extra momentum.
Well, I don’t have one.
I have 3, and I’m sharing them with you today because if there’s one thing I’ve learned since starting my online course business all those years ago, it’s that there is always a way to turn things around.
So let’s get started.

You have an online course business and you’re looking for some proven, realistic strategies that you can use to boost your revenue this year, so here we go.
Number 1: Automate your sales process.
Now, if you follow me on Instagram and see all the client results that I’ve been sharing lately on my stories and highlights, then you already know that switching to an automated sales process instead of launching all the time can be incredibly lucrative.
I’ve got clients that have gone from six figure years with launching to six figure months after using our method to create their own Profitable Sales Engine™.
One result I recently shared was from a woman who went from $30,000 in annual course revenue to over $650,000 in just eight months.
I have others from people who’ve made $20K or even $40K the very first day that they’ve turned on their Profitable Sales Engine™.
A Profitable Sales Engine™ is not an old-fashioned funnel, as you can see from the results I just shared.
Most evergreen funnels and systems don’t work in today’s online marketplace for one big reason, they are desperately lacking in connection.
And maybe that was good enough to sell 10 years ago or even 5 years ago, but it certainly is not enough for today.
Now more than ever, consumers are demanding more connection from brands before they make a purchasing decision, and this can feel really overwhelming to you if the way you try to meet those demands is solely through your manual effort.
So much of what I see struggling course creators trying right now when it comes to evergreen funnels is primarily based on connection through pain.
And yes, that does work to a point, but it’s not a 100% connection, which is much more complex than just mentioning a few pain points.
Connection is also about shared values and understanding what’s important to your prospects now and three years from now.
You need to be able to articulate their immediate challenges, their distant fears, their short-term demands, and their future aspirations.
That kind of connection isn’t easy for most course creators to do, which is why we’ve created formulas and frameworks in painstaking detail that walk our clients through each piece of connection-based content that they’ll create inside of their Profitable Sales Engine™.
Number 2: Stack your promotions.
Say what?
“Caitlin, I thought if I had an evergreen funnel up and running, I never had to launch again.”
Right. You don’t have to launch, but you do have to promote.
Now, whether you’re using organic or paid traffic, you need to actually send people to your Profitable Sales Engine™.
One example of how to do this is exactly what I do on Instagram.
I make short videos where I connect, give value, and then, at the end of the video, I include a CTA, or call to action, that directs people straight to my Profitable Sales Engine™.
But there are other fun promotions that you can do as well that don’t require a big fancy launch or a giant team, and when you start to stack them, the rewards really add up.
You don’t need to do extra promotions on top of your Profitable Sales Engine™, and many of our clients simply rely on simple short video content or paid traffic, but you’re listening to this episode because you’re looking to rapidly boost your revenue.
So I want to show you how to do that.
Now, another super simple promotion that we share with all our clients is called the Cash Maximizer Formula™️, and it consists of four videos that are seven to 10 minutes in length, and they’re designed to be dripped out over a 10-day period.
Now, the really cool thing about this strategy is that you can schedule it in advance up to 4x per year without having to show up live or anything like that.
If you schedule four rounds to go out over the next 12 months, then you don’t even need to think about it and it is then automatically stacked on top of the usual organic or paid content that you’re putting out and it’s totally automated.
Then, if you are really looking to leverage things, you can stack another promotion that is totally automated on top of that, and that one’s called The Profitable Partnership.
This one is so effective at generating extra leads and sales because it’s completely different from the way most people run affiliate programs. Now, we’ve run this one ourselves so many times that we have templates for everything that you need to do. I
t’s pretty much fail-proof to implement and can be scheduled in advance.
So again, you are stacking automated promotions so that you can really build momentum.
Number 3: Use your voice.
It cuts me to my core when I hear course creators tell me they believe they haven’t been able to hit their revenue goals because they believe that they’re bad at sales and marketing.
Then, when I look at their funnel, I’m like, “What are you doing? This does not sound like you at all.”
And they explain it’s because they hired an agency to do it for them, or they worked with a coach who told them this was the only way to do it.
Well, if you’re one of our clients, that is not happening on our watch.
It’s not that you’re bad at marketing, it’s that you haven’t learned how to extract what you know about your customers and put it into a framework that is flexible enough to hit all the right notes without sounding like everyone else.
And the truth is that nobody, and I mean nobody, knows your business like you do.
All the answers are inside of you, and it’s just that nobody has really asked you the right questions to find them.
And I think that so many of us course creators have been taught not to trust our voice and that our ideas and perspectives are not enough, and that the only way to get results is to say what some expert tells us to say in the same way that they say it.
But then we’re all just carbon copies of each other.
So nobody pays attention to you because you blend in with everyone else and you are left thinking that the reason why nobody’s paying attention to you is just because you’re not good at sales and marketing.
If you’ve been in that boat before and if it feels like you’ve lost your voice, here’s what you can do to find it again: start journaling every day.
Morning, noon, night, it doesn’t matter when you do it, just do it.
Write about what you disagree with in your industry.
Write about the rumors and myths that your audience keeps believing.
Write about the good, the bad, and the ugly without stopping or censoring yourself to make it perfect.
Eventually, you’ll find that one sentence that you wrote inspires you to make a social media post, and then that post turns into a podcast, and then that podcast turns into an email, and that email turns into another life that only you have the ability to change.
There are people out there right now who need your help.
They’ve tried everything, nothing seems to work, and they are thinking that they are unhelpable.
But you know the truth.
You know that they are not the problem.
All the beliefs that they’ve been holding and outdated strategies they’ve been implementing are the problem.
And if you really want to make a difference, then you must start to use your voice and your words to connect with those who need it most.
So there you have it, 3 proven tactics that you can implement now to rapidly boost your online course revenue in the weeks and months to come.
