Is hosting a Facebook group right for you? In this video, I’ll show you 3 types of people who would benefit the MOST from hosting their own group in order to help YOU make a decision. Let’s get started.
After helping hundreds of other online course creators create their own profitable Facebook groups, I’ve learned which types of people benefit MOST from starting their own group.
Type #1 “I have a niche, but I’m not sure what I want my course to be about.”
If you know who you want to serve, but aren’t sure which course idea you should move forward with , then Facebook groups are perfect for you.
In a private Facebook group, you can start validating your idea for free.
Here’s a pro tip: Make sure your group is filled with the right people.
For example, if you plan on creating a course on vegan meal planning, DON’T build a group full of Bacon Lovers.
Type #2 “I’ve made a few sales, but I really want to build momentum.”
If your sales are trickling in here and there, with no real consistency, then Facebook groups are perfect for you.
The great thing about Facebook groups is that you don’t need a huge audience to make money. Why? Because they convert SO WELL.
Most email lists convert around 2%, but once I got my email subscribers into my group, my list was converting at 20%.
Here’s a quick tip: Make sure it’s easy for your email subscribers to join your Facebook group.
For example, you can automate a welcome email to all new subscribers and include an invitation to join your group.
Type #3: “I’m ready for a big launch”
If you’re planning a big 5 or 6 figure launch for your next online course, Facebook groups are perfect for you.
In a private Facebook group, you can build tons of excitement so your members can’t wait to buy.
Here’s a pro tip that most people forget about: It’s important to warm up your members with great content a few weeks leading up to the launch.
For example, you can create livestreams or posts that explain WHY your topic is important and HOW it will benefit your members. They’ll be ready to buy as soon as you open the cart.
Now you have a better understanding of WHY you need a Facebook group and HOW it benefits you.
